Surgery tomorrow

We arrived in Boston yesterday and spent a few hours at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Rachel had another MRI this morning, ordered by the surgeon. We headed to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch, of course bringing some cheesecake home for dessert later.

We have to report to the hospital  (Mass General) at 5:30am tomorrow, for an approximate surgery start time of 7:30. The surgery will last most of the day (and is the only one on her doctors’ schedule for tomorrow), so we’re gearing up for a long day of waiting and worrying in the waiting room.

Lori, you don’t know me, but I go to Galilee Baptist Church, and have been praying for Rachel and you and your family since I first heard about you. Prayers will continue for tomorrow and onward. Will be away from the computer for a few days, but will check back to see how things are going–and praying. Hope someday to meet you all, including a healed and happy Rachel. She is about the age of my grandsons, and as a mother and grandmother, I ache for the walk she having to take and the fight she is having to wage against the monster called cancer. She sounds like a very special person. Am so glad that she has good doctors to help.
